“The Golden Spoon” broke personal record with viewership of 7.8%, thanks to “One Dollar Lawyer”s absence
The viewership rating of Kdrama “The Golden Spoon” has hit a new peak.
According to Nielsen Korea, an audience rating research company, the 9th episode of MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “The Golden Spoon”, which aired on October 21st, was 7.8% in the nationwide household rating.
This is a 3.2% increase from “The Golden Spoon”s 8th episode’s rating of 4.6%. In particular, it also surpassed the previous highest viewership rating of 7.4%, which was recorded in the second episode.
The surge in viewership ratings for “The Golden Spoon” seems to be due to the absence of the SBS Friday-Saturday drama “One Dollar Lawyer”, a rival work which airs in the same time slot.
“One Dollar Lawyer”, which was a huge hit with viewership hitting 15%, aired a special broadcast on the same day.
It was reported that this special episode recorded a rating of 7.6%.
