“The Glory” villains that anger netizens more than Park Yeon Jin and Jeon Jae Joon

On March 12th, a post on the Korean online community The Qoo caught the attention of netizens with the title “The Characters in ‘The Glory’ who Spread Mental Illness Beyond the Screen.” In the post, the author wrote, “The real villains in ‘The Glory’ are not Jeon Jae Joon (Park Sung Hoon), Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon), and Lee Sa Ra (Kim Hieora), but Jung Mi Hee (Park Ji Ah) and Kang Young Chun (Lee Moo Saeng). Please tone down your acting skills.”

In “The Glory,” Park Ji Ah plays Jung Mi Hee, the mother of Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo). She received compensation money from the bullies who hurt her daughter and took their side, abandoning her daughter. Later, Jung Mi Hee visits the school where Moon Dong Eun is a teacher after listening to what Park Yeon Jin told her to do. She causes trouble and ultimately ends up in a mental hospital. With her orange hair and red lipstick, she angers viewers with her eerie expressions and mocking laughter.

On the other hand, Lee Moo Saeng plays Kang Young Chun, the enemy of the male lead Joo Yeo Jeong (Lee Do Hyun) in “The Glory.” He was caught on the spot after killing Joo Yeo Jeong’s father during a surgery at the hospital, and was sentenced to death. Even after receiving the sentence, he sends letters showing no regrets to Joo Yeo Jeong, further infuriating viewers.
