Lim Ji Yeon “collapsed” after filming “The Glory” Park Yeon Jin’s weather-casting scene in prison

The behind-the-scenes of actress Lim Ji Yeon’s last appearance in “The Glory” was revealed, showing an impressive immersion in her character.

On March 23rd, a one-minute video was uploaded on Netflix’s official Instagram account with the caption “Thanks to all of you who were immersed in every moment, every scene was a glory“.

The video showed actors acting with all their heart and soul at the filming site of the popular drama “The Glory“.

In particular, what drew attention was the appearance of Lim Ji Yeon, who portrayed Park Yeon Jin’s prison life.

As the series concluded, its main villain Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon) was imprisoned and bullied by other inmates.

When an inmate asked “Hey, pretty girl, what’s the weather tomorrow?“, Lim Ji Yeon fixed her clothes, smiled broadly and began her weather casting. “It has been cool with frequent rain showers over the past few days,” she said.

The actress then continued by saying, “You’d better refrain from going out between 2 PM and 5 PM. It was Park Yeon Jin“, before showing a distorted expression that makes her seem like both laughing and crying at the same time.

In the behind the scenes of this part, Lim Ji Yeon could not easily control her emotions, even after the director’s signaled a “cut”. Finally, the actress sat down without saying anything and only looked at the ground.

In fact, through an interview with Sports Today, Lim Ji Yeon confessed that filming the last prison scene was difficult.

Lim Ji Yeon said, “I thought it was natural for Yeon Jin to completely collapse, but as an actor who loves the character, I had a complex feeling.“

She added, “I think I cried a lot while filming the prison scene. After filming it, I felt empty. I went to the set every time with a splendid appearance and a gaze looking down at the world, but for the first time, I felt that Yeon Jin’s relationship with people changed, so I collapsed (along with her).“

Meanwhile, Lim Ji Yeon will participate in the recording of JTBC’s “Newsroom” today (March 24th) to share episodes and behind-the-scenes stories regarding the drama.
