An Indonesian girl group has expressed their desire to become global stars like their role models, BLACKPINK.
In their latest press conference, the Indonesian girl group StarBe announced their upcoming activities in South Korea. Notably, member Shella expressed the ambition for the group to become the “BLACKPINK of Indonesia.”
“BLACKPINK is our idol. When we watch them perform on stage, we also want the opportunity to enjoy the stage like that,” member Shella shared during the introduction press conference.
Following this statement, StarBe garnered attention from South Korean audiences. Many people support the group’s ambitious goals and aspirations. This is understandable as BLACKPINK is currently regarded as the leading female K-Pop group with numerous outstanding achievements. Therefore, new-generation girl groups all aspire to achieve success similar to the four girls from YG Entertainment.
Previously, StarBe attracted attention when they released the song “Touch the Sky” in October 2022. Currently, the group is actively promoting in the South Korean market and aims to introduce Indonesian culture to the K-Pop music industry.
