A summary indictment refers to a process in which the prosecution requests a fine for the suspect through a documentary examination without handing them over to a formal trial. At this stage, if the party directly involved in the case or the court does not express any intention to bring the suspect to the formal trial, the sentence will be confirmed.

In February, the prosecution summarily indicted Seo Ye-jin with a fine of 7 million won.

Earlier on January 28th, Seo Ye-jin hit a street tree twice while driving a foreign car under the influence of alcohol near Yangjaecheon-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Later, she reportedly crashed into another tree.

It was confirmed that Seo Ye-jin’s blood alcohol level measured by the police dispatched to the scene was enough for her driver’s license to be canceled.

According to the video recorded at the accident scene, Seo Ye-jin raised her voice and shouted at the police, “XXX, that’s hurt!”. In addition, Seo Ye-jin was reportedly unable to respond to the first sobriety test properly because she was too drunk.

Meanwhile, Seo Ye-jin worked as a broadcast reporter after winning 2nd place at the 2018 Miss Korea.
