The current status of a girl group which was once compared to PSY’s phenomenon “Gangnam Style”
This group is Crayon Pop.
After PSY, Crayon Pop is the next phenomenon of 2013 with “Bar Bar Bar“. A month after being released, “Bar Bar Bar” suddenly climbed back to the top of Korean charts, causing many people to suspect the cheating of an unknown group named Crayon Pop. But then “Bar Bar Bar” became a sensation in Korea and throughout Asia.
In 2016, after 4 years of debut, member Soyul married Moon Hee-jun and left the group. The remaining four members made noise surrounding the renewal of their contract. Eventually, Crayon Pop‘s activities stopped after “Doo Doom Chit“.
In 2019, Soyul, Geummi, Choa and Way met again through KBS2’s “The Return of Superman” where Soyul was starring.
On this broadcast, Soyul shed tears as she felt sorry for leaving the team first.
Member Ellin, who is active as a BJ, also revealed this on streaming.
“Crayon Pop has not officially disbanded. I really want to promote with the group.”

First of all, Soyul gave birth to a daughter in 2017 and is currently pregnant with her second child.
Crayon Pop‘s main vocalist Choa worked as a musical actress after the suspension of her team’s activities.
She also appeared as singer number 59 on JTBC’s entertainment program “Sing Again – Unknown Singer” and runs a YouTube channel.
Member Way, Choa‘s twin sister, is a YouTuber with more than 300,000 subscribers. She is meeting fans through videos and streaming. In particular, she is receiving great responses for her health and diet-oriented contents.
Member Geummi changed her name to Song Bo-ram and turned into an actress.
She strengthened her position as an actress by appearing in the web drama “6 Persons Room” and the drama “Lovers in Bloom”.
Geummi married a businessman of the same age in February 2020 and gave birth in August 2020.
Recently, it was revealed that she was pregnant with her second child.
