“I changed the channel”… The confession scene in “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” episode 15 disappointed many viewers
The viewers gave divided responses to the confession scene in the new episode of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”.
In the 15th episode of ENA’s “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, which aired on August 17th, Woo Young-woo (Park Eun-bin) was seen being kicked out of the team by senior attorney Jang Seung-joon (Choi Dae-hoon) because of a conflict between while defending a case together.
When fellow attorney Choi Soo-yeon (Ha Yoon-kyung) was about to argue with Jang Seung-joon, Kwon Min-woo (Joo Jong-hyuk) tried to stop her by taking her out and having some talks.
Kwon Min-woo explained, “Not all of the senior attorneys we’ll be working with will be like attorney Jung Myung-seok (Kang Ki-young). We have to learn how to act accordingly”. In response, Choi Soo-yeon said, “You’re the one who have to learn. Young-woo was kicked out of the team for such a ridiculous reason”.
Kwon Min-woo then said, “You still haven’t realized the difference between attorney Woo Young-woo and us?”, adding “She can do whatever she wants and be kicked out like that, and people will think of her as a stubborn genius and understand her. It’s different in our case. If we act like Woo Young-woo, we will be treated as juniors who can’t please their seniors and who are difficult to work with.”
Upon hearing that, Choi Soo-yeon replied, “You’re right. You’re so right that it’s getting on my nerves. But can’t you just be a fool for once? For your colleague, for something you believe is right, can’t you put down your tactics and politics for a bit and just be brave like a fool?”.
When Kwon Min-woo said, “Why should I have to do that?”, Choi Soo-yeon surprised him as she suddenly confessed her heart, saying “Because I like guys who are like that”.
The viewers argued about the scene. Some people pointed out the probability of the love line between Choi Soo-yeon and Kwon Min-woo was low and expressed their disappointment, saying “Isn’t this the worst drama line of the year? Choi Soo-yeon told Kwon Min-woo to stand up for Young-woo because she likes brave guys…Why did the romance happen so suddenly?”, “The story is getting boring. I hoped it wouldn’t become like this but…”, “Why did they make our Spring Sunshine become like this?”, “Writer… I wished it was not a love line… (sigh)”, “The character is ruined… Give me back my Spring Sunshine”, “The line is so disappointing”, “I changed the channel right in that scene”, “Why should it be Tactician Kwon Min-woo? Where did Spring Sunshine Choi Soo-yeon that I knew go?”, “I was so shocked by that line”, etc.
On the other hand, other viewers expressed different opinions, saying “Straightforward girl Choi Soo-yeon. She’s so cool”, “It’s kind of random but interesting”, “Drama is just a drama”, “Her acting is so good”, “Why are people complaining about this only one line?”, “I hope they become a couple”, etc.
Meanwhile, “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” started with a low viewer rating in the range of 0% in its first broadcast in June but later surpassed 15%, creating a sensation. There is only one episode left until the drama ends.
