The apartment that hit 10 billion won and recorded “the highest rent ever” has a famous celebrity couple living next door

The yearly rent of “The Penthouse Cheongdam” in Gangnam, Seoul, which is famous as the place where actors Jang Dong-gun and Ko So-young live, reached 10 billion won.

The JoongAng Ilbo recently reported on Jun 7th that the lease rights for the 273㎡-wide The Penthouse Cheongdam (PH129) in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, were set at 10 billion won for two years.

The Penthouse Cheongdam is a luxury apartment built on the site of the Ellui Hotel in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in August 2020. The penthouse of the highest floor (Haneulchae) had a sale price of 20 billion won. Other floors were also sold for 8 to 12 billion won.

The Penthouse Cheongdam has become the apartment with the highest-ever lease price, which is 10 billion won, following the official announcement.

This particular apartment is known to be right next to the home of the celebrity couple Jang Dong-gun and Ko So-young.
