Actor Jung Seung Gil expressed his feelings about appearing in “Dream” with his wife-fellow actress Lee Ji Hyun.
On the afternoon of April 17th, the press conference of the movie “Dream” was held at Megabox COEX in Bongeunsa-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. Director Lee Byeong Heon and actors Park Seo Joon, IU, Kim Jong Soo, Ko Chang Seok, Jung Seung Gil, Yang Hyun Min, Hong Wan Pyo and Heo Joon Seok attended the event.
“Dream” is adapted from the true story of the 2010 Homeless World Cup, which South Korea participated in for the first time. It revolves around the former soccer player Hong Dae (Park Seo Joon) and the passionless PD So Min (IU). Together, they challenge an impossible dream with national team players for the Homeless World Cup.
In addition, Kim Jong Soo (as Hwan Dong), Ko Chang Seok (as Hyo Bong), Jung Seung Gil (as Beom Soo), Lee Hyun Woo (as In Sun), Yang Hyun Min (as Moon Soo), Hong Wan Pyo (as Young Jin) and Heo Joon Seok (as In Guk) contributed their strength.
Jung Seung Gil, the only one who showed melodramatic acting in “Dream”, shared his thoughts, “I don’t know if I did a good job in melodramatic acting.”
He caused laughter by confessing, “The actress who plays Jin Joo is actually my wife. We are a couple who have been together for 23 years. I tend to feel burdened about acting with my wife. I avoided it when I had a chance.”
Jung Seung Gil added, “I did it because I couldn’t avoid it this time. I’m not sure how it would have looked. I hope you like it.”
Meanwhile, director Lee Byeong Heon’s new film “Dream” will be released on April 26th.
