American pop star Taylor Swift fell in love with BLACKPINK’s new song.
On August 28 (local time), Taylor Swift posted a short video on her TikTok account with the caption, “Team All Too Well bringing the emotional pain to the VMAs.” Notably, she used BLACKPINK’s latest single “Pink Venom” as the audio for her video.
In the video, Taylor Swift sings in the waiting room to the line “I bring the pain like” from “Pink Venom” before changing into her costume for the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMAs).
In addition to this, Taylor Swift also drew attention by cheering for BLACKPINK while watching the group’s performance at the MTV VMAs. She even showed that she knew the lyrics of “Pink Venom” by singing and dancing along to BLACKPINK’s song.
There is a reference to Taylor Swift in the lyrics of “Pink Venom”. A line from “Pink Venom” that reads, “Look what you made us do”, is similar to Taylor Swift’s iconic line “Look what you made me do” from the female singer’s 2017 smash hit of the same name.
