Taeyong will be NCT’s first soloist.
On May 4th, the agency SM Entertainment told Xports News, “Taeyong is preparing his first solo album with the aim of releasing it in June. Please show a lot of interest and anticipation.“
Earlier, NCT members such as Mark, Ten, Jaehyun, Taeil and Doyoung released solo songs through “SM STATION”, but Taeyong is the first to release a solo album. With this, Taeyong will be the first NCT member to debut as a solo artist.
Taeyong previously released his first solo song “Long Flight” through “SM STATION” in 2019. Aside from “Long Flight”, Taeyong proved his musical ability by participating in composing and writing lyrics for NCT 127’s albums.
Meanwhile, Taeyong’s group NCT 127 won “Most Influential Male Idol” at the 2023 Brand Customer Loyalty Awards on May 2nd.
