Taeyeon Reveals Concern About Having No Celeb Friends & Wants To Be Close To NewJeans
Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon confessed that she doesn’t have any friends to hang out with in the entertainment industry
On March 29th, the YouTube channel of Super Junior’s D&E uploaded a video titled “SM best in vocal, best in appearance, and… NewJeans is the best | EP.1 Taeyeon”.
In the video, Donghae asked Taeyeon, “These days, who do you hang out with the most among celebrities?”. Taeyeon surprised everyone as she said, “None”.
Eunhyuk wondered, “Key? You meet him often”. Taeyeon said, “In that sense, I’m seeing him once in two weeks. Personally? None. I have a worry. I don’t have friends”.
Eunhyuk continued, “It’s because you always hang out with Zero. Or are you with Zero because you don’t have friends? Because I’m the same”, expressing his sympathy with Taeyeon’s concern.
Donghae commented, “I only meet people who play sports. Because I go to the gym, play tennis and hockey…So I hang out with regular people. I don’t have many celeb friends”.
Taeyeon then picked the girl group NewJeans as her favorite celebrity. She added, “But I’m not good at approaching first. I’m not good at trying to be friends with others. When someone comes up to me, I can”.
Eunhyuk asked, “You don’t want to fix it?”. Taeyeon replied, “I don’t. I’m not that interested in others”, drawing laughter.
