Taeyang recalled BIGBANG’s 6-year hiatus.
On April 26th, a pre-released video for the upcoming episode of “You Quiz on the Block” was uploaded.
In the video, Taeyang talked about the memories with his best friend G-Dragon, his trainee days and BIGBANG’s hiatus.
First, Yoo Jae Suk said, “The friend you shared the joys and sorrows with at that time is GD.” Taeyang expressed his extraordinary affection for G-Dragon, “He was my only friend back then. It’s still like that now.“
Taeyang, who spent 6 years as a trainee, recalled, “We didn’t have a practice system like now. When I went to the practice room, I saw the hyungs practicing. I had to run errands that the hyungs told me to do. We usually ordered snacks. There was a fixed amount of money (for ordering food) per day. It was 5,000 won.“
BIGBANG stopped group activities for 6 years before coming back in April last year. Taeyang confessed, “It just happened. It was very hard. In fact, it was such a series of bad situations that I thought ‘Maybe this could be the end’, ‘It could be a situation where it’s difficult to do music anymore’.“
He raised curiosity by adding, “It was very frustrating to see myself isolated in the military.“
