Taeyang “It’s okay if Min Hyo Rin becomes a cockroach…I’ll cherish her”

BIGBANG Taeyang, who released his new EP album “Down to Earth” on April 25th, appeared as a guest on the April 27th broadcast of SBS Power FM’s “Cultwo Show”.

One listener asked Taeyang, “What would you do if your wife turned into a cockroach?” After expressing his bewilderment for a moment, Taeyang replied, “I have to cherish her. It’d be hard if she were a camel cricket. I’m glad she’s not a camel cricket. If she were a cockroach, I’d cherish her.“

Taeyang mentioned junior artists who participated in his album. “Down to Earth” includes “VIBE (feat. Jimin of BTS)”, “Shoong! (feat. Lisa of BLACKPINK)” and “Inspiration (feat. Beenzino)”.

Taeyang talked about Jimin, “As I went out for a private dinner, I had a chance to meet BTS members. I remember that Teddy said, ‘It’d be cool if Jimin and Taeyang worked on a song together.’ We (Jimin and Taeyang) talked about it, and were happy to work together.”

Regarding Lisa, he said, “I was there when Lisa auditioned for YG. She sang beautifully. I thought that she would succeed.”

Taeyang collaborated with Beenzino after meeting him in the military. Taeyang shared, “I met him while preparing for a performance at the Ground Forces Festival. We didn’t talk about a collaboration at that time. After this song (Inspiration) was made, I thought it’d be great if Beenzino featured on it, so I visited him and let him listen to it. I asked him to feature, and he gladly agreed.”
