Swings has revealed a shocking story from the past involving the unauthorized use of his company credit card, which reportedly resulted in losses of nearly 50 million won.
The rapper appeared on the YouTube channel hosted by Lee Eun Ji on May 7, where he and others discussed money and spending habits. During the conversation, Swings unexpectedly opened up about becoming the victim of fraud.
When Lee Eun Ji asked whether he was the type to give his card to a romantic partner, Swings replied, “There was actually a really crazy incident once,” before sharing the story.
According to Swings, one day an employee responsible for managing the company’s finances approached him saying, “CEO, there’s a problem.” After checking the records, he discovered that someone had been using the company credit card for six months and had spent around 50 million won.
He explained that at first, the transactions did not seem suspicious because many charges were coming from hair salons and beauty shops. Swings assumed the expenses were related to artists from his company receiving hair and makeup services.
Eventually, he decided to contact one of the salons directly. “They gave me the phone number and name connected to the payments,” he recalled. “When I called, a woman in her mid-to-late 20s answered.”
According to Swings, the woman claimed, “Swings told me to use it.”
He explained further, saying the woman alleged they had met while drinking and that he had supposedly handed her the card while telling her, “From now on, use my money.”
However, Swings later realized that he had actually lost the card about six months earlier. “I had already gotten a replacement card, so I completely forgot about it,” he said.
He believes the woman noticed that the card had “Indigo Music Corporation” written on it, searched the company online, and realized it belonged to his agency.
“Because nothing happened and nobody stopped her, she just kept using it,” Swings explained. “The amount gradually got bigger and bigger.”
Fortunately, the rapper eventually recovered the full amount over time. He revealed that the woman repaid all the money through monthly installments over the course of roughly three years.
Looking back on the incident now, Swings laughed and said, “Honestly, it feels like one of the funniest stories of my life.”
