Suzy’s “Wonderland” Faces Yoona’s “2 O’Clock Date” In The Movie Competition In June

Apart from their remarkable careers as singers, Suzy and Yoona are also successful actresses. Suzy started acting in the 2011 drama “Dream High” and reached her career high with “Anna” after starring in various projects such as “While You Were Sleeping”, “Uncontrollably Fond”, “Vagabond” and “Startup”. With “Anna”, Suzy won Best Actress at the 2nd Blue Dragon Series Awards last year. In the case of Yoona, she debuted as an actor in “You Are My Destiny” (2008) and led various hit series such as “The K2”, “The King in Love”, “Hush” and “Big Mouth”. Suzy joins hands with Park Bo-gum and makes her film comeback after 5 years

Arousing keen attention with the upcoming premiere of her new movie “Wonderland” in 5 years, Suzy also raises fans’ expectations for her collaboration with actor Park Bo-gum. As “Wonderland” already confirmed its premiere date in June, anticipation is soaring for the two’s visual combination and chemistry. 

“Wonderland” tells about a virtual world that reproduces the people we long for using AI. A woman in her 20s (Suzy), whose lover (Park Bo-gum) became a vegetative person after an accident, and a man in his 40s (Gong Yoo), whose wife (Tang Wei) already passed away, commissioned this AI service to comfort them by recreating their beloved ones. However, unexpected things occur as they spend more time with the AI people.

Aside from Suzy and Park Bo-gum’s collaboration, the participation of director Kim Tae-young and his wife, Chinese actress Tang Wei, also makes viewers look forward to the movie. Above all, the splendid cast lineup with Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi, and Choi Woo-shik is also highly anticipated. 

Yoona aims to claim the title “romcom queen”

While Suzy challenged the sci-fi genre, Yoona took on a romantic comedy film. As she already captivated viewers with her lovely chemistry with Lee Jun-ho in “King The Land”, the actress will once again flutter the hearts of the big screen audiences with her new romance chemistry with Ahn Bo-hyun.

“2 O’Clock Date” will premiere in all theaters in June. It tells about the young unemployed Gil Goo (Ahn Bo-hyun) starting monitoring Seon-ji (Yoona), who wakes up as a devil every dawn, as a part-time job. While doing this job, he encounters various extraordinary experiences that thrill his soul. 

With the reunion of Yoona and the producer of “Exit”, another box office hit is highly expected. In addition, the appearances of scene-stealer actors such as Sung Dong-il and Joo Hyun-young will add strength to the movie.

Expressing her feelings ahead of the movie release, Yoona said, “I’m already excited to spend a hot summer with the ‘Exit’ team again”. Her co-star Ahn Bo-hyun also shared, “I was drawn to the unique scenarios right after reading the script. Working with Yoona, I also feel more confident”.
