Singer Sunmi explained the controversy related to her.
On April 27th, Sunmi screenshot and uploaded an article about her arrival at the airport which, was reported by a media company, on her Instagram story.
She said, “Actually, I didn’t know there would be reporters because it was my personal schedule. As I was accompanying my younger brothers without a manager, seemed like my manager and my younger brother miscommunicated inside and outside the gate. I’m sorry.” She apologized, “I was always bright at the airport, but I was so stunned at the time.”
Regarding the photos compared in the article, Sunmi also said, “The picture on the right is not sponsored.” In the middle of the article, she even added crying emoticons.
Earlier, suspicions were raised that Sunmi lied to get rid of reporters. After seeing the manager from Sunmi’s agency waiting for her at the airport, reporters gathered to wait for her arrival, but she did not come to the promised destination. Sunmi then disappeared as if she has run away to another gate.
It was also pointed out that Sunmi showed unusual behavior at the airport at that time. Most celebrities who appeared at the airport will pose with fashion brand sponsorship, but Sunmi did not.
Meanwhile, Sunmi recently participated in singer Park Won‘s concert as a guest.
