Sunmi discussed her time during Wonder Girls’ activities on “Psick Univ”
In the video posted on “Psick Univ” YouTube channel, Sunmi mentioned her time with Wonder Girls and said, “I’m still on good terms with Wonder Girls members. Sunye and Hyelim are married, Yubin has become an entrepreneur. Sohee, Yeeun, and I are still single.”
She went on to talk about the Wonder Girls’ activities in the United States, “Back then, JYP had big dreams for you. We agreed and went to the U.S. We became the opening act for Jonas Brothers and traveled to many cities.”
She also mentioned, “At the time, I felt like I needed a break. So, I returned to Korea and studied hard. Originally, I planned to take a short break and then return to Wonder Girls, but I debuted as a soloist and later returned to Wonder Girls.”
Sunmi expressed that she felt sorry towards Wonder Girls members, saying, “Our members went through a lot on my behalf. That’s why I feel sorry for the members.”
Sunmi debuted as a member of Wonder Girls, under JYP Entertainment, in 2007, and gained much love with iconic hits like ‘Tell Me’ and ‘So Hot.’ Sunmi has since pursued a successful career as a solo artist.
