On the November 4 episode of tvN’s talk show Go All The Way, the hosts — Sung Yu-ri and Han Sang-jin — along with guest Cheon Rok-dam, discussed diet and exercise while meeting citizens at Yeouido Han River Park, a popular running spot in Seoul.
Sung Yu-ri candidly described dieting as a lifelong battle. “For me, dieting is a never-ending homework assignment. I’m so sick of it.”

She went on to reveal that her weight had once reached 80kg (176 lbs) following pregnancy and childbirth. “After giving birth to my adorable babies, I gained up to 80kg. What frustrated me was that even when I didn’t eat anything, my weight went up by about 1kg a day. Of course, my babies were growing, but it was still hard.”
The actress confessed she expected her weight to drop naturally, as is often seen with other female celebrities returning to TV soon after childbirth.

“I thought it would just come off if I stayed still like it does for other celebrities after giving birth, but it didn’t,” she admitted, expressing her frustration.
Her co-host Han Sang-jin also shared his own experience with extreme dieting, saying: “I weighed over 100kg in high school and lost 47kg by running along the Han River.”
Sung Yu-ri’s honesty about body image and postpartum struggles resonated with many viewers, who praised her for breaking the stigma around celebrity weight gain and highlighting the unrealistic expectations often placed on female entertainers.
