The long-awaited debut of the girl group formed through TikTok’s survival show Stellar Sugar has quietly been cancelled, only coming to light after several contestants reappeared in a different project.
The show, which premiered in May 2025, was a follow-up to TikTok’s earlier survival program Time Turner. It featured contestants competing for a spot in a seven-member girl group, with APINK’s Namjoo serving as a guest judge. Much like traditional K-pop survival shows, Stellar Sugar had its own signal song and elimination rounds that drew a passionate online following.
In the penultimate episode, five of the seven final members were revealed, leaving two more to be announced in the finale. However, the final episode never confirmed the remaining lineup — and no debut date or updates ever followed. For months, fans were left confused about the group’s fate.
The truth was finally revealed when contestant Roa’s agency announced the formation of a new girl group called I-CODE, set to debut soon. The lineup includes Stellar Sugar contestants Roa, Karuna, Moana, and Yona, sparking speculation that the Stellar Sugar debut had been cancelled entirely.

Although the official Stellar Sugar group never materialized, many fans expressed relief that several of the talented trainees have found a new start under I-CODE. The group has already opened its official Instagram account, though further details about its debut have yet to be shared.
While the sudden disbandment disappointed many who followed the show, K-pop fans are now watching closely to see how these former contestants will shine in their new team.
