TIME noted Lee Yoo-mi as a next generation leader who inspires people in that she became the first Korean woman to win an Emmy for acting. TIME introduced Lee Yoo-mi, “Squid Game made Lee Yoo-mi a global star, and now she is forging her own path.”

Lee Yoo-mi expressed her serious thoughts about acting, “Instead of thinking of Lee Yoo-mi as a person with a certain personality, I hope people will remember me as a good actor and want to see my work saying ‘I really want to see that piece if actor Lee Yoo-mi is in it’. The global recognition further strengthened my mindset that no matter how things change around me, I should remain who I am.”

In addition, the movie “New Normal” (directed by Jung Bum-sik), in which she appeared as the main character, was officially invited to the competition section of the 38th Warsaw International Film Festival and the 36th Leeds International Film Festival, following the official invitation to the 66th London International Film Festival.
