Soyou Reveals Behind-the-Scenes Story of Mega Hit ‘Some’ and Opens Up About the Challenges She Faced During Collaboration

Former Sistar member Soyou revealed the behind-the-scenes story of ‘Some,’ a collaboration with Junggigo that received much love.

On July 26th, the YouTube channel ‘Hey News’ released episode 44 with Soyou’s appearance.

Host Kang Ji Young asked Soyou, “How many times have you done collaboration activities under pressure?“

Soyou replied, “Never. Usually, offers come in or the company pushes for it. In the case of ‘Some,’ it came out in just two weeks. They told me, ‘There’s a song when you check your email, and there’s a part without a melody, which is your part.’ So, I created the melody in the recording studio and worked on the lyrics, and that’s how ‘Some’ was born.”

Soyou confessed that it was tough back then, “I cried a lot in the recording studio. It was challenging. Trying this and that made it tough. I had to go on a diet too,” and added, “I’m not that tough.“

‘Some’ is a song by Soyou and Junggigo. It gained popularity, topping the music charts for 62 weeks when it was released in 2014.

Meanwhile, on July 26th, Soyou released her second mini-album ‘Summer Recipe.’ Former Sistar member Bora participated as a featuring artist, completing a fantastic synergy.
