On July 25, Soyou began receiving mourners at the funeral hall of Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital in Seoul, where her father’s memorial altar has been set up. The funeral procession is scheduled to take place at midnight on July 27, with burial arrangements to follow at Suwon Yeonhwajang Memorial Park.
According to reports, Soyou is currently staying with her family as they carry out the funeral proceedings. She has temporarily suspended all of her scheduled activities to grieve with her loved ones and bid her father a final farewell.

Soyou made her debut in 2010 as a member of SISTAR, one of K-pop’s most successful girl groups. The group earned widespread popularity with a string of summer hits, including “So Cool,” “Alone,” and “Loving U.”
After that, Soyou established herself as a respected vocalist through a series of successful collaboration projects, including “Officially Missing You, Too.” She has since continued to build her career as a solo artist with various music releases and television appearances.
