Song Kang To Become “I-LAND 2” Storyteller Before Enlisting

According to Sports Kyunghyang on March 11th, Song Kang will appear on Mnet’s audition program, scheduled to air next month, as a storyteller. He will observe the growth of the contestants and retell the story of a new start on “I-LAND”.

Song Kang will join the army to fulfill his military service on April 2nd, so “I-LAND 2” will probably be his last activity.

“I-LAND 2”, which recently started filming, is a global K-pop girl group project under the theme of a new adventure to find “N/a” in which unpredictable diversity (N) meets infinite possibilities “a (alpha)”.

Enhypen, the group formed through Season 1 of “I-LAND” in collaboration with HYBE’s Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, has now become a global group that is greatly loved by fans around the world. This season, The Black Label’s CEO Teddy, who produced music for BIGBANG, 2NE1 and BLACKPINK, will join as the master producer to form a fifth-generation girl group.

Following the success of Nam Gong-min in Season 1, Song Kang will become the new storyteller for Season 2 and add a new atmosphere to the show.

Song Kang made his debut in tvN’s 2017 drama “The Liar and His Lover” and made his face and name known to drama viewers around the world through Netflix’s “Sweet Home” series, JTBC’s “Nevertheless”, SBS’s “My Demon”, etc. With his experience of working with idols as an MC for SBS’s “Inkigayo”, Song Kang is expected to attract global K-pop fans’ attention by working with the new generation of K-pop on “I-LAND 2”.
