“Hopeless” is a noir movie about a boy named Yeon-kyu (Hong Sa-bin), who wants to escape from hellish reality, meets the middle boss of an organization, Chi-gun (Song Joong-ki), and joins the world in jeopardy. It was official invitated to the 76th Cannes International Film Festival.

Song Joong-ki reportedly went to his first Cannes Film Festival in May with “Hopeless.”

It’s such an honor,” he said. “Strangely, the tomato spaghetti that I always ate seemed especially delicious. I think it was because I was excited, and I personally felt the best because it was the first time for me, as well as the lead actor Hong Sa-bin and director Kim Chang-hoon. When I went with these people, I felt refreshed,” the actor shared.
