Song Joong Ki, “After ‘Sunkyunkwan Scandal’, I did a test to see if people recognized me in New York… It was embarrassing”

Actor Song Joong Ki’s daily life moments in New York have been revealed.

On January 28th, a video titled “Should I film this now that I’m in New York | Song Joong Ki Vlog in New York” was uploaded on the Youtube channel of his agency HighZium Studio.

Song Joong Ki visited New York to attend the 50th International Emmy Awards. After leaving his accommodation, Song Joong Ki revealed that a fan in New York recognized him thanks to his appearance in “Vincenzo”. The actor said, “How amazing. A foreigner I met said, ‘I watched Vincenzo and saw a person who looks like you’.”

Later, Song Joong Ki headed to a restaurant to try Mexican food. While walking down the streets of New York, he recalled the first time he came there with his family. Song Joong Ki drew attention when he said, “I visited New York with my mom and my younger brother after filming the drama ‘Sunkyunkwan Scandal’. I came to Times Square and went around to see if any Korean would recognize me. Think of that time, it was so embarrassing. I was so grateful that some people did recognize me”.

Arriving at the restaurant, Song Joong Ki impressed everyone with his fluent English skills when confirming his table reservation. After eating delicious food, he dressed up in a nice suit and headed to the awards ceremony. The actor showed off his friendly side and fanservice, such as shaking hands and taking selfies with fans he met at the event.
