Song Joong-ki Accompanied by Katy at ‘Loh Ki Wan’ VIP Premiere, Only Has Eyes for His Wife
Actor Song Joong-ki once again showed his affectionate side as a husband
Song Joong-ki attended the VIP premiere held at CGV Yongsan i-Park Mall in Seoul’s Yongsan-gu, ahead of the release of Netflix’s movie ‘Loh Ki Wan,’ in which he stars, accompanied by his wife, Katy Louise Saunders.
At the ‘Loh Ki Wan’ premiere, an attendee remarked, “There was a very beautiful woman, so I looked at her. It turned out to be Song Joong-ki’s wife. Even among the actors, her beauty stood out.”
The VIP premiere was attended by the cast of ‘Loh Ki Wan’ and their invited colleagues. Alongside Song Joong-ki, Choi Sung-eun, Jo Han-chul, Kim Sung-ryung, as well as Kim Yoo-jung, So Ji-sub, Oh Seung-hoon, Jo Bok-rae, and many other stars, were present.
Katy, along with Song Joong-ki welcoming the guests, engaged in brief conversations with fellow actors, and quietly waited behind when Song Joong-ki was occupied with stage greetings. Their son, born last year, was not seen at the event.
Previously, actor Jo Han-chul, who starred in ‘Loh Ki Wan’ with Song Joong-ki, revealed on a TV show that he received olive oil from Katy. This shows that Katy maintains good relationships with her husband’s colleagues. In fact, during the filming of ‘Loh Ki Wan’ in Hungary, Katy was known to invite fellow actors and staff to her house and treat them to meals.
Katy’s viewing manners also caught attention. ‘Loh Ki Wan’ revolves around the story of a North Korean defector played by Song Joong-ki and a woman who has lost the meaning of life, played by Choi Sung-eun. Most of the dialogue in the film is in Korean. Katy’s attentive act of watching a Korean film without subtitles until the end shows her concentration.
It is rumored that during the VIP premiere, while Song Joong-ki greeted guests in the theater, upon entering the theater where Katy was, he showed a tender expression, only greeting his wife.
An attendee at the scene commented, “Song Joong-ki smiled only at his wife. Even from a distance, you could feel how much they love each other.”
Meanwhile, ‘Loh Ki Wan’ is a film depicting the story of Ki Wan (played by Song Joong-ki), a defector who arrives in Belgium with the last hope of life, and Mari (played by Choi Sung-eun), a woman who has lost the reason for living, drawn to each other like magnets. The film is based on the novel by Jo Hae-jin.
