Song Ji Hyo had viewers laughing after she playfully expressed interest in actor Cha Woo Min, who is 19 years younger than her, during the latest episode of SBS’s Running Man.
The July 26 broadcast welcomed Kang Hoon, Kim Hye Joon, and Cha Woo Min, the stars of the upcoming tvN drama My Bias, My Boss, which is scheduled to premiere in August.
Among the guests, Cha Woo Min immediately attracted attention with his tall stature and striking visuals. Ji Suk Jin was quick to compliment the newcomer, joking that he looked like “the kind of handsome older guy people would have a crush on.” Song Ji Hyo also appeared intrigued, asking Cha Woo Min where he was born. When he replied that he was from Busan, the conversation took an amusing turn.
Noticing Song Ji Hyo’s sudden curiosity, Yoo Jae Suk playfully asked: “Ji Hyo, why are you suddenly asking Woo Min all these questions?” Laughing, Song Ji Hyo honestly replied: “Because he’s cute.” Her response immediately prompted more teasing from the other cast members.
Haha jokingly questioned why she was speaking in such a soft tone, while Kim Jong Kook laughed and remarked: “He’s young enough to be your son.” The joke stemmed from the pair’s age difference Song Ji Hyo was born in 1981, while Cha Woo Min was born in 2000, making them 19 years apart.
Despite the playful teasing, Song Ji Hyo continued interacting comfortably with the young actor. Song Ji Hyo debuted in 2001 as a model for the fashion magazine Kiki before launching her acting career with the 2003 horror film Whispering Corridors 3. In addition to her acting career, she has remained one of the most beloved members of Running Man since joining the variety show in its early years.
Although the interaction with Cha Woo Min was clearly playful, the cast’s jokes and Song Ji Hyo’s candid compliments created one of the episode’s funniest and most memorable moments, delighting longtime viewers of the program.
