On March 8th, Song Hye Kyo appeared at a press conference in promotion for Part 2 of Netflix series “The Glory”. Here, the actress received numerous praises for boasting outstanding visuals in her 40s. Even through a normal camera lens, Song Hye Kyo shines spectacularly with her bright demeanor, sweet smile, and fair skin.
Netizens also cannot help but admire Song Hye Kyo’s skin condition, which stays smooth and clear regardless of age. In fact, her skin looks even better than in “The Glory”, raising a lot of questions. These doubts, however, have been answered as the actress discussed her efforts during filming.
In particular, Song Hye Kyo said, “It took a lot of time to prepare for the scene in episode 6 of ‘The Glory’, where my character revealed her scars. I spent 4 to 5 hours without wearing clothes so that makeup artists can draw the scars. For 3 days prior to the filming, I ate nothing but bananas. I didn’t even drink any water the day before filing. Therefore, getting makeup done alone has tired me out.”
Nevertheless, the filming was a success, since Song Hye Kyo portrayed the exhaustion and desperation of her character perfectly. She also revealed how her skin condition worsened, saying, “I have to wear makeup for hours on end, so naturally, my skin got affected.”

On the other hand, Song Hye Kyo also shared other interesting anecdotes during the filming of “The Glory”. According to the actress, she often brought her dog, Ruby, to filming, while her co-star Lee Do Hyun would bring his dog, Gaeul.
Unfortunately, Ruby and Gaeul seem to not get along. As a result, despite really liking Lee Do Hyun at first, Ruby ended up avoiding him because of Gaeul.
