Song Hye Kyo’s friendship from “Descendants of the Sun”: Ageless visual after 7 years and successful career

Kim Min Seok became the talk of the town after he was nominated to do the Ice Bucket Challenge by Song Hye Kyo.

Recently, Kim Min Seok has become the talk of the town after Song Hye Kyo nominated him as one of the three participants in the Ice Bucket Challenge. While the two only worked with each other on “Descendants of the Sun” and rarely acted in a scene together, they seem to be maintaining speaking terms 7 years after the project. Kim Min Seok and Song Hye Kyo frequently send gifts to each other as supportive gestures. After many years, perhaps Min Seok is a rare friendship that Song Hye Kyo keeps with herself following “Descendants of the Sun.”

In the hit Korean series, Kim Min Seok plays Private First Class Kim Ki Bum, originally a theft who is captured by Captain Yoo Shi Jin. They have a scuffle and have to go to a hospital where Doctor Kang Mo Yeon (Song Hye Kyo) works. This fateful encounter sparks flames between Shi Jin and Mo Yeon and helps  Ki Bum realize his wrongdoings and joins the military to be a private under Yoo Shi Jin.

After “Descendants of the Sun,” Kim Min Seok was on a roll with acting projects. Following “Descendants of the Sun,” he got to appear in drama projects by famous directors alongside veteran actors, one of which is “Because This Is My First Life.” Nonetheless, Min Seok was still relatively unknown when those projects only achieved mild success. For example, the actor recently appeared in “Delivery Man”, but viewers did not have a single clue he was making a comeback until later on. He remains the most memorable as the Private from “Descendants of the Sun” who courageously captures a criminal who secretly films others at a cafe in Gangnam.
