Song Hye Kyo is cool even when speaking informally… “The tuna kimbap scene, I asked for a different kind”

On Jan 4th, Netflix Korea released an interview with actress Song Hye Kyo of “The Glory” under the concept of “informal speech”.

When asked “Do you mind speaking informally?” Song Hye Kyo replied in a cool way, “No.” She then expressed her affection for “The Glory” by pointing out keywords “Honor, writer Kim Eun Sook, director Ahn Gil Ho”.

What about her character Moon Dong Eun? Song Hye Kyo shared, “She’s someone who grew up without protection. By playing her, she has become a person that I want to protect.” On the other hand, about the “kimbap” eating show in the drama, she said, “It was tuna kimbap. After a few shoots, I asked for a different kind.”

She also shared her thoughts on the character Park Yeon Jin, the perpetrator of school violence in the drama. Song Hye Kyo explained, She’s wicked. ‘You need to get punished.’ ‘I’ll get punished for what I did later.’ That seems to be Dong Eun’s attitude towards Yeon Jin.”

Regarding the meaning of Go, she said with a smile, “To Dong Eun, Go is a plan. Everything gets organized one after the other. I’ve played enough in the drama. I don’t want to play it anymore.”

Lastly, Song Hye Kyo picked her dog “Ruby” as the thing that makes her smile. Song Hye Kyo confessed, “Ruby. My dog. My dog makes me happy every day.” Regarding her transformation in “The Glory”, she drew attention by telling viewers, “I’m back with a new role. I hope it receives lots of love.”
