Singer-actress Son Dam-bi and former national team speed skater Lee Kyu-hyuk will be officially married from today.
Son Dam-bi and Lee Kyu-hyuk will hold a private wedding in Seoul today (May 13th) with the participation of relatives and close acquaintances.
The two met each other for the first time on SBS’s figure skating show “Kiss and Cry” in 2011. After dating for a year, they broke up and reunited and made up in 2021, 10 years later. Son Dam-bi and Lee Kyu-hyuk, who have been lovers again since September last year, drew attention as they officially announced their marriage in January this year. The two are currently living together in their homes.
Announcing the news of her wedding in a handwritten letter, Son Dam-bi said, “I have someone whom I want to share the rest of my life with… The person who made me become the best version of myself when I’m with him; the one who makes me smile and show me happiness just by being by his side”.
Lee Kyu-hyuk also said, “I’m going to have a new start with a wise and considerate person. I will show everyone better performances to repay the love I received”.
Son Dam-bi debuted in 2007 with her single album “Cry Eye”. After releasing several hit songs, such as “Crazy”, “Saturday Night” and “Queen”, she turned to acting in 2009. In 2019, she played the role of Hyang-mi in KBS 2TV’s drama “When the Camellia Blooms” and gained huge popularity as an actress.
Lee Kyu-hyuk is a former national team speed skater who holds 6 Olympics records. He signed an exclusive contract with iHQ in September last year and has been appearing in several entertainment shows.
Meanwhile, Son Dam-bi and Lee Kyu-hyuk will join SBS’s entertainment program “Same Bed, Different Dreams 2 – You Are My Destiny” as a new couple and reveal their life as newlyweds.
