“SNS King” BTS’s V becomes the fastest person in history to reach 40 million Instagram followers 

V of BTS continues to extend his records on Instagram. 

As of April 20th, after only 135 days, BTS’s V has surpassed 40 million followers on his personal Instagram, making him the person reaching this milestone in the shortest period of time in the platform’s history. 

In December of last year, V and other BTS members took social media by storm as they launched their individual Instagram accounts after 8 years of debut. Previously, they were only using official group SNS accounts such as Twitter and fan community Weverse to communicate with fans. 

All seven members of BTS have gained tens of millions of Instagram followers within 5 months of introducing their accounts, proving the popularity of a ‘world-class boy group’

V especially stood out and cemented his status as “SNS King”. He broke actress Angelina Jolie’s record and became the fastest person to exceed 1 million followers within only 40 minutes.

V has been actively interacting with his fans through Instagram. Recently, he drew much attention for sharing his daily life moments captured in Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, BTS, who left the country for their US schedules, have returned to Korea after completing their concerts in Las Vegas.
