“Snowdrop” Actress Park Soo Ryeon Passes Away at 29

Amidst the mourning for Park Soo Ryeon, who tragically passed away at 29 in an unforeseen accident, attention has turned to her works.

On June 12th, OSEN reported that actress Park Soo Ryeon had a fall accident on the stairs while returning home on June 11th, resulting in a brain injury and ultimately leading to her death.

Park Soo Ryeon’s family reportedly decided to donate her organs in honor of her warm-heartedness.

Born in 1994 and turning 29 this year, Park Soo Ryeon made her debut in 2018 with the musical “Il Tenore.” Until recently, she actively participated in musicals such as “The Day We Loved” and “Siddhartha.” She was scheduled to perform in Jeju Island the day after the accident.

In particular, Park Soo Ryeon made a notable appearance as a supporting role in JTBC’s drama “Snowdrop,” which ended in January 2022. 

At the time, she posted a photo with the lead actor Jung Hae In and wrote, “Jung Hae In sunbaenim, after the second release of the female students, he stayed with us until the very end. It was a small role, but thank you for thinking of each and every one of the female students! I hope to meet you in another work. Although I am no longer a female student, I will watch the drama until the end.” 

She also added, “My first drama in my life,” along with a group photo taken with the actors on the set of “Snowdrop.”

Meanwhile, the funeral hall for the late Park Soo Ryeon has been prepared at Suwon Hospital in Gyeonggi Province. The memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. KST on June 12th, and the procession will take place on the morning of June 13th.
