Film critic criticizes Lee Hyori and PD Kim Tae Ho’s “Dancing Queens on the Road”

Film critic Kim Do Hoon mentioned Lee Hyori and PD Kim Tae Ho’s “Dancing Queens on the Road”.

On June 11th, Kim Do Hoon posted on his Facebook account, “I feel sorry for Lee Hyori these days.”

Kim Do Hoon pointed out, “I don’t know why she’s only been doing those ‘begging-for-the-past’ variety shows with Kim Tae Ho for years. The more she does that, the more she feels like a star of the past who struggles because she doesn’t want to be forgotten.”

Kim Do Hoon said it is regrettable as Lee Hyori is an artist with sufficient competence and influence to release contemporary albums.

Kim Do Hoon claimed, “In this situation, if you’ve been a fan for a long time, it’s right to get annoyed instead of saying ‘Sis, it’s nice to see you on variety shows’.

He added, “Even if she can’t regain the popularity in her heyday, she should refer to the path of Madonna, Kylie Minogue and Jennifer Lopez, who constantly update their music and release albums.”

Kim Do Hoon also criticized the members of “Dancing Queens on the Road” through the comments section.

He said that the only person who will benefit from this entertainment show is Uhm Jung Hwa, and he does not know why Hwasa is in this program.

He continued, “BoA’s problem is that her sense of selecting songs is too old when she releases her own albums. In addition, the moment she appears on this program, only the feeling of a senior singer gets stronger.

Meanwhile, PD Kim Tae Ho’s new entertainment show “Dancing Queens on the Road” is a program of nationwide concert tour with the nation’s top female artists Lee Hyori, Uhm Jung Hwa, BoA, Hwasa and Kim Wan Sun traveling around the country, meeting various fans and having fun together.

According to the ratings research company Nielsen Korea, episode 3 of “Dancing Queens on the Road”, which aired on June 8th, recorded a viewership rating of 3.7%.
