Talented vocalists from SM Entertainment will form perfect combinations to warm the winter of 2022.
On December 21st, SM Entertainment announced, “‘2022 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU PALACE’ presents you combinations of the most powerful vocalists that you can trust and listen to.”
The song “Time After Time” in this album is a medium-tempo R&B track, featuring vocal techniques that express the sorrow of love. The lyrics are expected to impress listeners by comparing the feelings of love that linger in our head unknowingly from the beginning until the end to a “circle”. The strong and mature vocals of BoA, Red Velvet Wendy and aespa Ning Ning will combine to give deep emotions.
“Priority” is an R&B song that highlights the outstanding singing abilities of TVXQ Chang Min, Girls’ Generation Taeyeon and aespa Winter on a minimal beat. The lyrics contain emotional changes when considering the other person a priority when being attracted to each other and starting a new relationship with anxiety and fear. In particular, the high-pitched adlib that explodes in the second half of the song according to the flow of emotions is also a listening point.
“2022 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU PALACE”, which will be released on December 26th, includes a total of 10 songs with various combinations of SM singers. Prior to the official release of “2022 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU PALACE”, a highlight medley video for all the songs from the album was unveiled on the Youtube channel “SMTOWN” at midnight on December 21st.
“2022 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU PALACE” project allows music fans to experience a further expa đe SMCU (SM Culture Universe) with the concept of “SMCU PALACE”, a virtual space existing in KWANGYA. In addition to the winter album, performances, metaverse experiences, and exhibitions will be presented on January 1st.
