“Single’s Inferno” Kim Hyun-joong honestly talked about the reason why he unfollowed Song Ji-a on SNS

Kim Hyun-joong, a cast member of Netflix’s dating reality show “Single’s Inferno”, is drawing attention after he mentioned Song Ji-a, who became the final couple with him, in an interview.     

Maeil Business Star Today exclusively reported on Jan 19th that it had had a telephone interview with Kim Hyun-joong. The media asked Kim Hyun-joong, about a post titled “Kim Hyun-joong unfollowed FreeZia’s Instagram,” which was controversial on online communities.

According to the media, Kim Hyun-joong said, “We remain good friends with each other, and we got along well by contacting each other in the middle of the broadcast. Is there any reason for us to break up?” he drew a line to the controversy. He explained, “For various reasons such as broadcasting-related regulations, I can’t talk about my personal story with Ji-a in detail, but I want to tell you that I have no bad feelings about her at all.”

Kim Hyun-joong explained the real reason for unfollowing Song Ji-a, “People are focusing on our relationship too much. Ji-a wasn’t originally following me, and I unfollowed her since I didn’t want to share many stories regarding us.” He also had no idea that there was such a controversy online.

He praised, “I couldn’t contact her anymore because of the article. I have to be cautious at this moment, but what I can tell you is that Ji-a was a kind, bright and hard-working friend.”

Previously, Kim Hyun-joong and Song Ji-a became the final couple in Single’s Inferno which aired on Dec 18th, 2021. About a month after this broadcast was released, Song Ji-a was embroiled in controversy over using fake luxury goods. Right after the controversy, on Jan 17th, an article titled “Kim Hyun-joong unfollowed FreeZia’s Instagram” was posted on the online community theqoo. The community post said that Kim Hyun-joong unfollowed only Song Ji-a among “Single’s Inferno” participants.
