Similarities and differences between “What’s wrong with Secretary Kim?” Park Seo Joon and “A Business Proposal” Ahn Hyo Seop

“A Business Proposal” and “What’s wrong with Secretary Kim?”  are both adapted from the webtoon of the same name.

A Business Proposal” is the most popular Korean drama at the moment.  It is its light and witty script that has made the audience very excited to wait for the next episodes.

However, for many people, the gentle love between the boss and employee in “A Business Proposal” is also reminiscent of the story between Vice President Lee Young Joon (Park Seo Joon) and the beautiful secretary Kim Mi So (Park Min Young) in “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?”.

The male leads of the two dramas both have high status in society and have certain power in the company.  Kang Tae Moo (Ahn Hyo Seop) in “A Business Proposal” is the heir to his grandfather’s corporation.  Meanwhile, Lee Young Joon is the vice president of a large corporation.  It can be said that these two characters have all the characteristics of an ideal man.  They have everything from good looks to working capacity and great family background.

The image of Kang Tae Moo and Lee Young Joon also has many similarities: Always wearing a luxurious suit, which enhances the advantage of body shape and neat manners in the office.  However, sometimes the two characters also make viewers excited because of their egotistical personality.

Of course, “A Business Proposal” and “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?” have different storylines.  Kang Tae Moo is determined to marry Shin Ha Ri (Kim Sejeong) because he doesn’t want to be urged by his family to get married.  Meanwhile, “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?”  Lee Young Joon discovered he had feelings for Secretary Kim after realizing she was about to leave.  The two dramas have two distinct colors and are completely different from other works with the same motif.

With the achievements it has achieved, “A Business Proposal” is expected to become a blockbuster in terms of rating in 2022.
