“Running Man” Kim Jong Kook took issue with actress Kim Shin Rok’s choice of words.
Kim Shin Rok appeared as a guest on the Jan 22nd broadcast of SBS’ “Running Man”.
On this day, Kim Shin Rok immersed herself in the role of “Reborn Rich” Jin Hwa Young and shouted, “Why is no one coming to meet me? I’m freezing to death.”
However, when Kim Shin Rok was taken aback by the reaction that was different from what she expected, Kim Jong Kook made everyone laugh by joking, “We’re not good at playing chaebol.”
Kim Shin Rok’s splendid career was then introduced. Kim Shin Rok drew attention by revealing her past of aspiring to become a lawyer, diplomat and president, saying, “I graduated from the Department of Geography at Seoul National University.”
Regarding the background of becoming an actress, Kim Shin Rok explained, “My father was a theater actor. When I was in middle school, my father took me to a local theater troupe and told me to ‘perform and play’. He didn’t ask me to learn theater. He meant learning life.”
Yoo Jae Suk then mentioned Kim Shin Rok’s past acceptance speech “I ‘think (sayuhada)’ about people and the world through plays”.
The members were curious about the word “sayuhada”. In response, Kim Shin Rok explained that the word “sayuhada” contains the meaning of “thinking widely about an object”.
Kim Jong Kook attracted attention by asking, “Shouldn’t you use words that most people can understand?”
Kim Shin Rok was loved for appearing in JTBC’s drama “Reborn Rich”, which ended last year.
