SHINee’s Taemin Paid Tribute To The Late Jonghyun By Singing His Favorite Song

SHINee’s Taemin mentioned the late Jonghyun in a recent YouTube video.

Taemin appeared on the latest episode of the YouTube show ‘Limousine Service,’ which was released on October 31st, and told stories about his music path with his vocals.

In the video, Taemin showed off his vocal skills by covering songs by other singers such as “You Touched My Heart,” “Clean Up,” and “Into The New World.”

On the reason why he chose “Clean Up,” Taemin said, “This was a song that our member Jonghyun practiced a lot. Since he sang so well, I thought “Wow, he is so cool,” and we sang along and practiced together since we were preparing for his debut.”

“I’ve been with the members for a long time. I chose this song because I thought it would be nice to sing it with my own mindset even though this song is actually a breakup song,” he said, expressing his affection for the song.

Taemin made his debut in the music industry with SHINee back in 2008. He established himself as the team’s main dancer and debuted as a solo artist in 2014. Member Jonghyun passed away in December 2017. Since then, SHINee has been active as a four-member group.
