Brad Pitt selected Yoon Yuh Jung as the Korean actress he wanted to work with.
On August 25th, Brad Pitt and Aaron Johnson, who visited Korea for the first time in 8 years, appeared on the KBS 2TV program “Entertainment Company Live”.
In particular, Brad Pitt went to Korea to promote his new movie “Bullet Train” – which is described by Aaron Johnson to be “a story of assassins on a high-speed train”. When asked about his favorite scene, Brad Pitt answered that all action sequences were great, but he’s particularly fond of an action scene in the train’s kitchen.
Brad Pitt also discussed the stuntman director David Leitch, who doubled for the actor in the past.
“We met in the movie “Fight Club”, and during “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”, he told me he wanted to be a coach one day, so I wished him luck. Eventually, he really became a stunt coach and came very far with popular movies like “John Wick” and “Deadpool 2”. It was fun to meet him again as a director,” Brad Pitt said.
Meanwhile, David Leitch said: “I can’t choose him, he has to choose me… I feel lucky to be able to work together. With you.”
When asked if there’s any difference between working as an actor and then later as guest and producer, Aaron Johnson replied: “I had a lot of fun. I grew up admiring Brad Pitt’s films from an early age, and he is a legendary actor as well as a role model for me. He is like a real mentor, so everyone was able to film with a joyful attitude. I enjoy working with Brad Pitt.”
The English actor also revealed that this was his first visit to Korea, sharing: “I ate samgyetang and it was really delicious. In the evening, I’m going to eat meat.”
On the other hand, Brad Pitt likes Korean food so much that he is often seen in Korean restaurants in LA. As a filmmaker, He also showed interest in Korean projects, and selected “Yoon Yuh Jung”, who is “talented and one-of-a kind”, as the person he wants to work with.
Brad Pitt was careful to pronounce Yoon Yuh Jung’s name properly, but ended up getting it wrong and joking: “She’s going to kill me. I am going to be scolded.”
