According to IFPI’s announcement on its official website and SNS channel on Feb 25th, Seventeen ranked 9th on the Global Artist Chart 2021, a chart that is calculated according to an artist’s or group’s worldwide performance across digital and physical music formats during the year.
In particular, BTS and Seventeen are the only K-pop artists that made it to the top 10 of the Global Artist Chart 2021. Seventeen added a special meaning by appearing on the chart for the first time since their debut.
Seventeen achieved 5 consecutive million sellers with their 9th mini album “Attacca” last year as well as set their own best record by making it to the chart for 2 weeks in a row on Billboard’s main album chart “Billboard 200”.
In addition, Seventeen was selected as the artist of December and the first K-pop artist for the “MTV PUSH” campaign to highlight global artists by selecting an artist every month, proving the potential of a “global K-pop powerhouse”.
Seventeen will host “2022 SVT 6TH FAN MEETING ‘SEVENTEEN in CARAT LAND’”, which is scheduled to be held online and offline for a total of 3 days from Mar 25th to 27th.
