AOA member and actress Seolhyun announced contract termination with FNC Entertainment and heralded a new start.
On October 20th, Seolhyun’s former agency FNC entertainment reported that their contract renewal with the idol-actress was not successful.
In particular, FNC Entertainment said, “After a long conversation and discussion with Seolhyun, FNC Entertainment has agreed to end our management work with Seolhyun. We would like to express our gratitude to Seolhyun for trusting and working with us for a long time.”
Seolhyun debuted as a member of girl group AOA in 2012, gained great popularity with hit songs such as “Mini Skirt”, “Short Hair”, “Heart Attack”, and ”Bingle Bangle”. In particular, Seolhyun played a big role in raising the awareness of AOA by being in charge of visuals within the team.
In addition to being a singer, Seolhyun has also been acting in several projects, including dramas like “My Daughter Seoyoung”, ”Orange Marmalade”, “My Country: The New Age”, “Day and Night”, “The Murderer’s Shopping List”, as well as movies like “Gangnam Blue”, “Memoirs of a Murderer”, “The Great Battle”, etc.
AOA started as an 8-member group, but over time, only Seolhyun, Hyejeong, and Chanmi remain. This year, which marks the 10th anniversary of her debut, as Seolhyun officially broke up with FNC, speculation continues that her team activities will naturally end.
