In particular, Bang Si Hyuk was asked why Kpop’s growth is slowing in the Southeast Asian market, to which he answered, “The fact that BTS is currently not active has an impact.”

According to Bang Si Hyuk, in surveys on Kpop’s awareness, BTS has more penetration in the global market than Kpop itself. He also mentioned that his company is doing active research on this matter.

Meanwhile, when asked if he can “replicate the global success of BTS”, Bang Si Hyuk affirmed that it is impossible to create an artist like BTS again.

However, he also mentioned that it is likely that there would be a Kpop artist from HYBE that tops the Billboard Hot 100, after Jimin with “Like Crazy”.

“The experience of managing BTS and operating different labels gave us access to powerful networks, infrastructures and experiences. With these, HYBE can repeat its remarkable results with the help of talented artists”, Bang Si Hyuk added.
