After announcing her departure from ‘Running Man,’ actress Jeon So-min spent time with the staff
On the 31st, Jeon So-min held a cake filled with the character from her ‘Running Man‘ role, saying, “I want to say goodbye slowly.”
She bid farewell to the staff members who created the frog character from ‘Running Man’ as she referred to them as the “Frog Making Trio.”
Jeon So-min officially left SBS’s ‘Running Man’ after the recording on the 30th.
Jeon So-min joined ‘Running Man’ as a new member in April 2017, along with Yang Se-chan. She brought laughter to households with her passion and unique chemistry with the members, with various disguises and more. She received love and earned various nicknames such as “Firefly” and “Female Lee Kwang-soo.” Unfortunately, she decided to leave the show after more than six years.
On the 23rd, the ‘Running Man’ staff announced, “After long discussions, the members and production team have decided to respect Jeon So-min’s decision to leave.”
They continued, “Jeon So-min has conveyed her desire for a break to recharge for her acting career, despite running with ‘Running Man’ for over six years with exceptional dedication and responsibility. We deeply appreciate Jeon So-min, who has brightened the program even more as a long-standing ‘Running Man’ member. We ask for the warm support and encouragement from the viewers for Jeon So-min, who made a difficult decision.”
They also expressed, “We will support Jeon So-min as an ‘eternal member’.”
