Recently, fans noticed that ENHYPEN’s Jake is suffering from a sasaeng (a Korean term used to describe obsessive fans who go to the extreme like stalking idols).
In particular, this sasaeng would purchase plane tickets to sit nearby Jake, and even take photos of the male idol fast asleep with no censor or blurring.
On top of this, it is discovered that the sasaeng had committed such actions numerous times before. In one post, she posted a photo showing Jake in the background along with the caption “puppy who slept through the entire flight…”, suggesting that she was watching the male idol the entire trip.
Through the sasaeng’s Weibo account (a Chinese SNS platform), it can also be seen that she also stalked and invaded the privacy of other idols, not just ENHYPEN’s Jake.
At the moment, fans are calling out the sasaeng and tagging the official account of BeLift Lab and HYBE in hope of better protection for their artists.
