S.E.S. Shoo expressed her position for the first time on rumors of divorcing her husband Im Hyo-sung, a former basketball player.
News1 released an interview with singer Shoo on May 14th. Shoo, who made her return through a broadcast appearance in April, opened up about allegations surrounding her about 4 years after the gambling controversy. Shoo also shed tears during the interview.
When asked about divorce rumors, she replied, “I think that kind of story appeared because I’ve been involved in a lot of incidents. But I don’t get divorced. I’m living well. I just didn’t want to hurt my family since it’s my problem. And it’s just right that I’m responsible for mistakes I made myself.” She expressed her affection towards her family, “I want to protect my family now. I just want to show my good sides while overcoming my problems alone.”
When asked about S.E.S.’s reunion in the future, she answered, “We’ve been together steadily, so we’re thinking about it openly.” Meanwhile, Shoo was sentenced to 6 months in prison, 2 years of probation and 80 hours of community service on charges of gambling hundreds of millions of won in Macau and other places in 2018.
In April this year, she returned to broadcasting through TV Chosun’s “Star Documentary My Way”. The female singer did not mention her family, so she was embroiled in rumors of separation and divorce with her husband Im Hyo-sung.
On April 25th, she surprised fans by hosting a surprise live broadcast on Flex TV, a platform specializing in personal broadcasting.
Shoo married basketball player Im Hyo-sung in 2010 and they have three children.
