Ryu Jun-yeol Stays Silent for a Reason, but Han So-hee Ruined Everything? 

The “love drama” involving Han So-hee, Ryu Jun-yeol, and Hyeri, has shown hints of calming down, only for Han So-hee to once again fan the flames with her long message on March 29. 

In fact, throughout the drama, Ryu Jun-yeol never spoke up. The actor’s agency issued one single statement, while Hyeri only posted one story and apologized one. It was Han So-hee who kept publishing and deleting new messages and comments, drawing attention and damaging her image. 

According to JTBC, Ryu Jun-yeol’s silence actually has a reason: his upcoming series “The 8 Show” is set to be released in May. 

This is a highly invested project, with each episode costing up to 3 billion won (approximately 2.2 million USD), featuring the “Blue Dragon” winner Chun Woo-hee and a cast including Park Jung-min, Lee Yeol-eum, Park Hae-joon, and others. Ryu Jun-yeol is obligated to participate in promoting the film, so the actor does not want his personal life uproar to affect the efforts of his fellow cast members and “The 8 Show” production team.

However, despite Ryu Jun-yeol’s decision to remain silent, Han So-hee’s long message doesn’t allow the controversy to die. The “love drama”, which temporarily died down, has resurfaced, and Ryu Jun-yeol continues to face heavy criticism for his continued silence. 

This has also raised concerns among industry insiders. Responding to JTBC, industry experts are worried that Ryu Jun-yeol will have to face questions about his personal life from the media throughout the promotion of his new project. As a result, Ryu Jun-yeol’s private issues may overshadow “The 8 Show”, causing the public to focus not on the content of the film but on the statements and expressions of Han So-hee’s current boyfriend.

On the other hand, it seems Ryu Jun-yeol’s silence has also infuriated Han So-hee. In her now-deleted message, Han So-hee expressed disappointment that one side of the story insisted on remaining silent. 

According to Ilgan Sports, Han So-hee always believed that Ryu Jun-yeol had completely ended things with Hyeri before being with her. Therefore, when criticized and suspected by netizens as a homewrecker, Han So-hee felt very sad and confused.

Han So-hee’s management company requested Ryu Jun-yeol’s company to publicly announce the exact date when the actor broke up with Hyeri, but this was not approved. Instead, Ryu Jun-yeol vaguely stated that he did not betray Hyeri to be with Han So-hee. This left Han So-hee extremely disappointed and led to her explosive reactions on social media.
