SBS’s “Running Man” secured the top spot in the “2023 TOP 50 Entertainment Shows” list selected by the leading Korean OTT platform “WAVVE”
“Running Man” had previously been selected as the “Entertainment show of the Year” by WAVVE for 3 consecutive years from 2020 to 2022. This year, once again, it claimed the top position in the “2023 TOP 50 Entertainment Shows”, maintaining its status as the representative entertainment program in Korea for 4 consecutive years.
Earlier this year, despite a scheduling change to the competitive Sunday evening time slot, “Running Man” achieved an impressive viewership rating of 8.3%, capturing significant attention from viewers. Subsequently, the show consistently ranked among the “2049 (viewers aged 20~49) Ratings TOP 3” for Sunday entertainment shows, showcasing its sustained popularity. Accordingly, it also received the “2023 Brand of the Year Award” in the weekend entertainment show category.
Running Man” heated up online channels with the extraordinary performances of unexpected guest lineups, including BTS V, Yoo Seung-ho, Shin Ye-eun, Yun Sung-bin and Dex. The clip of the game where Yun Sung-bin and the members engaged in the pushing game surpassed a total of 6 million views on the official channel. The “Tazza Race” featuring Yoo Seung-ho and V highlighted the show’s undeniable status as the leading variety entertainment program in Korea.
