American magazine Rolling Stone spotlights NewJeans.
On September 6th, Rolling Stone officially announced the release of a special edition ‘Zine’ dedicated to NewJeans, featuring the group on the cover.
Rolling Stone wrote, “NewJeans is currently one of the most popular groups and has broken away from the established framework of K-pop, establishing new standards. They are a group that has proven their appeal in the oversaturated market.“
NewJeans themselves said, “Although we have come a long way in a short time, among ourselves, we often say that ‘there is still much to achieve.’ We are looking forward to what lies ahead for NewJeans.”
Rolling Stone previously selected NewJeans as one of the “Future 25,” the expected leaders in the music industry.
Global renowned magazines have also taken notice of NewJeans, as they have graced the covers of publications like ‘Highsnobiety’ and ‘V Magazine.’
In addition, NewJeans has been nominated in the “Group of the Year” category at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards, with the awards ceremony set to take place on September 12th.
